About the course
A half-day format giving participants practical skills in first aid and CPR with a defibrillator. Focus on the most common emergencies and acting immediately until the ambulance takes over.
What you will learn
- Adult CPR: compressions, ventilations, correct depth/rate and safety
- Defibrillator (AED): when/how to connect, pad placement and following voice prompts
- Choking: back blows and abdominal thrusts — identify and relieve quickly
- Severe/life-threatening bleeding: direct pressure, dressings and elevation
- Shock: recognising signs and immediate actions
- Burns and electrical injuries: cooling and first measures
- Heart attack & stroke (FAST test): recognise symptoms and act
- Allergic reaction/anaphylaxis: when and how to use an adrenaline auto-injector
- Recovery position and a safe 112 call chain (incl. Sweden’s SMS Lifesaver)
After the course
- You can provide life-saving first aid and perform CPR using an AED
- You will act in a structured way — even under stress
- You receive a digital certificate and a recommended refresher plan

Prerequisites & materials
No prior knowledge required. The instructor provides manikins, a training defibrillator and first aid materials.
