Need a training/course in English? We can offer these courses in both Swedish and English.
This unique training combines theory and practice in an inspiring outdoor environment. We go through how to best handle injuries, allergic reactions, and illnesses in the field – when help may be far away. During the day, you will practice applying pressure bandages and other life-saving measures. You will also build and use stretchers made from natural and trekking materials (which we provide) and try transporting an injured person. The training is hands-on, realistic, and de-dramatizing – so you feel confident and prepared if an accident should occur, whether you are in the mountains, the forest, or out on an adventure.
Duration
Approx. 8–12 hours including preparations.
Implementation
The training is carried out by a certified instructor, according to the guidelines of the Swedish CPR Council and First Aid Sweden's training policy, with 70% practical exercises and 30% theory.
The course is approved by the Medical Committee of the Swedish Climbing Association.
Number of participants
Recommended maximum 15–20 participants per group and instructor.
Location
Conducted outdoors
Certificate
Included after completion of the course.
Which training suits you best?
Our most popular course is First Aid & CPR – Half Day. It takes about 3.5 hours including breaks and provides a solid foundation in life-saving skills. It is suitable for most non-high-risk environments, such as office work, schools, etc.
For workgroups with higher safety requirements and high-risk environments, we recommend instead First Aid & CPR – Full Day. This training includes pre-studies and more in-depth practice, making it especially suitable for:
We also offer the specialized course Outdoor First Aid, developed for environments where help may be far away – for example, the Swedish Climbing Association, which has higher requirements for knowledge and preparedness.

Every year, thousands of people in Sweden suffer cardiac arrest outside of hospital. The majority of victims are affected at home or in public places where medical personnel or defibrillators are rarely on site. In cases where CPR was started within 1 minute and a defibrillator was used within 5 minutes, 49-75 percent survival has been reported. For every minute, the person's chance of survival decreases by about 10 percent. In Sweden, the time from alarm to defibrillator is 10-60 minutes, which means that there must be someone who can freeze the time until medical personnel are on site. Are you one of them?
