Breathing mask (Mun-Munduk)

Cederroth Breathing mask is an aid to give mouth-to-mouth breathing in the correct way while reducing the risk of contact between helper and injured person. The breathing mask consists of a plastic sheet with a non-return valve. Clear instructions are printed directly on the canvas. On the plastic sheet there are clear instructions for the mouth-to-mouth method and how the mask should be placed over the victim's face. The non-return valve signals which side should be placed up towards the helper (green) and down into the victim's mouth (red). The size of the plastic sheet reduces the risk of the helper coming into contact with blood or vomit from the injured person. The design of the mouthpiece forces the helper to gape wide and press their lips around the casualty's mouth so that it closes tightly. The non-return valve has large holes, which reduces the resistance and makes it easier for the helper to be able to carry out a longer session of artificial respiration.
