The Russell Chest Seal® is an advanced chest dressing featuring a hydrogel base and a low-profile valve with four vents. It is specifically designed to treat penetrating chest wounds and prevent lung collapse by allowing air and fluid to escape from the pleural cavity without letting air back in.

Its patented hydrogel matrix consists of a water-based gel layered onto non-woven fabric, protected by silicone-coated release liners. The dressing adheres securely and comfortably to the patient’s skin and is suitable for use for up to 24 hours.
