About the course
This training provides fundamental fire knowledge and is tailored to your needs, risks and objectives. It can be delivered with or without practical drills and is led by instructors with fire & rescue service experience. Theory is mixed with hands-on practice using different extinguishing tools. After the course, your organisation receives a certificate of completion.
You will learn
- Fire theory: ignition, spread and fire development
- Regulations and responsibilities in your workplace
- Common fire hazards as well as injuries and impact
- Evacuation routes, fire alarms and alert procedures
- Choosing the right extinguisher (extinguisher, fire blanket, etc.)
- Fire organisation and an overview of SBA (Systematic Fire Safety Work)
- Practical drills with portable fire extinguishers and other equipment
After the course
- You can prevent, detect and handle fires safely
- You know how to raise the alarm, evacuate and choose the right extinguisher
- You receive a certificate of completion

Prerequisites & materials
No prior knowledge required. The course is delivered by a firefighter and/or instructors certified under SMO (Accident Prevention). All training equipment is provided.
